Yes, that's correct Do not update. Standard Jagmaster. Candy Apple Red Montego Black. Solid Body Electric Guitars. Solid Body. Tremolo Bridge. The body is surprisingly comfortable when sitting, and very balanced when standing. It looks different and funky. The parts are practically interchangeable with Strat parts — it has a Strat-style vintage tremolo system and uses the same tuners.
One thing that some would consider a curse I consider a blessing: it does not sound like a Strat, or like a Telecaster. It sounds like what it is — a cross between a Jazzmaster and a Jaguar. Now the bad. If I were a 15 year old and this was my first electric, that would be fine. Where to begin…. The tuners are cheap. They work but lack any kind of precision. The pickups. They sound thin and noisy. For the bridge humbucker position, I have a cool plan until I can come up with a new pickguard.
It will look like a humbucker, it will fill the humbucker space, and it will be a hot single coil. Onto the bridge. An alternative idea would be brass saddles — actually, that might be a great idea.
The only thing left is the pots and output jack. The pots are cheap. The volume pot sounds fine, but the tone pot sounds beyond horrible when engaged, and is nowhere near smooth. I will eventually upgrade both pots. The output jack is fine. I thought this was supposed to be a review. But if you want to know for sure you can show us some gut shots of your guitar. That means it isnt vista but the second series? The neck seems legit and has serial and crafted in japan etc Sorry that i am asking maybe a little too much and often but i am just curious etc It should have a small decal saying "Vista Series" at the end of the headstock where it says "Original Contour Body" on a Stratocaster. If it doesn't, it's probably not a Vista Series. Another obvious tell-tale is the truss rod adjustment. The Vista Series Jagmaster neck is identical to a vintage Jaguar neck, with the adjuster at the body end.
If the adjuster is on the headstock, it's not a Vista HTH, JN. Yes mine has all those So it is The Vista.
