During this event, you will compete with 24 other students. This will grant you points, but the main goal of the event is making patterns in order to earn large bonus points and raise your position. The following guide will explain in detail every aspect of this interesting event. Each board contains 16 tiles 4 rows by 4 columns. Every tile has a task assigned to it. Depending on the task, each of those tiles is worth 10, 20, or 30 points.
However, each time you complete a pattern, you will be given some bonus points and a new board with a completely new set of tasks. Each of these tasks is unique in some way. Here is the list of preferable tasks, since these can easily be completed with little to no effort:. It is worth noting that you can refresh any of these tiles by spending gems.
The first time you decide to refresh a tile, it will cost 5 gems, the second refresh on the same tile cost 10 gems, and so on. Keep in mind that each of these tiles has individual refresh cost, so refreshing it once or twice is okay, but anything more than that is pretty much a waste of gems. Now that the tasks are explained, we can proceed to the patterns.
First, what are the patterns? Simply said, you can get bonus points by completing certain sets of tiles on the board. The reason for this is simple — if you mistakenly collect wrong tiles, you can end up unable to complete some of the patterns, which will result in you gaining way fewer points than you should.
There are four different patterns you can complete — Single, Double, Triple and Spell. Below is the detailed explanation for each of these patterns. These patterns are pretty straightforward. By collecting tiles along the single horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, you will complete a single pattern that will award you 60 bonus points and a new board. Below are all the possible combinations for Single patterns.
Bear in mind that you should ONLY go for Single pattern if you have several unfavorable tasks on the board and it is impossible for you to go for Double, Triple or Episkey without spending gems to refresh some of the tiles. Generally, it is better to refresh a couple of tiles and try to get some more favorable tasks in order to complete Double, Triple or Episkey, but if you are out of gems and there is no way to get any of these patterns, then you should simply go for single.
To get Double pattern, you need to collect tiles in a way that will form two straight lines that are intersecting at some point. Completing Double pattern will award you bonus points. There are several different ways to achieve this, and all of the possible patterns are shown in the image below. In order to get Triple pattern, you need to collect tiles in a way that will form three straight lines that are intersecting at the same point.
This means you need to do one horizontal, one vertical, and one diagonal line. Heads up — Merula is out for blood. The left-hand icon keeps track of your personality traits. The gameplay is pretty self-explanatory and easy to follow as long as you remember to check your tasks. But the main mission here is to find out what exactly happened to your brother as you work to find him.
