Treo 650 windows 7 sync

Volume locked". What does it mean? Coz after a few item sync, the connection lost. It says in my mac "Application error". How the bluetooth got turned off, I don't know - but I'm so thankful it was such a simple fix, not so thankful that I wasted so much time in the Palm website searching for a fix! Any ideas? I just got them to read each other, now this is the final step I'm not getting.

This is a new 2. The Palm software acts like it did before Well done my friend, well done! Yes but one has to be logged into their Mac as root to get any of this done, actually and that is a HUGE step that only took me 2 hours to figure out.

Worked for me. It was actually clicked to be disabled - can't explain why. Worth checking if the above fix mysteriously doesn't work. I didn't set it up to be disabled so it could happen to others I guess I've had my Treo for 8 months now, and have never gotten Bluetooth to work.

This worked beautifully. I found four com. I got the same message about virtual serial port, and just clicked continue all the way through. I'm pleased to say it's synchronizing right now.

Does anyone have any idea how to transfer MP3 files to my card? And where does it put the pictures that it's apparently synchronizing?

I'm using Thanks J. Of all the many suggestions on how to get a PB and a Treo to sync, this one actually worked. Does the Treo now sync with I still have a treo which syncs like a dream which is the main reason why I am soldiering on with it. Worked like a charm!! Thanks for saving me the brain numbing experience of a half dozen useless calls to tech support!

Really - thank you. Everything worked up the point of being asked to create a virtual serial port. Did anyone else encounter this?

After useless calls to Cingular and Palm, I'm extremely grateful for these directions, which worked perfectly the first time. Thank you. That's how I have mine set up. If I initiate with BT, it works; if I connect the cable and hit the button, it syncs that way. Tom: Hmm, whoops. Make sure your Mac is 'Discoverable. I've got a question though.

I can now sync my treo with iCal addressbook etc using the USB cable. I followed these instructions to the letter. Still doesn't work. Though I no longer get the port in use error, there is no connection and the Treo eventually says, "The connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established.

Please check your setup and try again. Mostly by piecing together stuff that's on the net. I love that I don't have all of my private info and passwords in my phone or in the cloud.

This week I loaded windows 10 64 bit and tried to install my palm pilot with no success. I did all that you said in this post, but then I couldn't get my palm information to show in the Palm Desktop. After some research, I found the link to this website to provide a "patch" for legacy Palm Pilots Tungsten C. Then all of the data showed up in my Desktop again.

When most of the other Palm OS vendors dropped out of the market, Palm rewrote their PIM applications and came out with a new internal architecture that was not fully compatible with Palm OS applications written for the earlier generation devices.

We refer to the older devices as Legacy devices. Here is a list of specific devices which fall into each category: Legacy Devices: any device running OS4 or earlier, any non-Palm brand handheld Sony, Garmin, etc.

This procedure has worked perfectly with my Palm Zire 22 which is legacy model from the past. I thought I would never get the data transferred but it has worked perfectly with Windows Thanks so much In very special when I am visiting Industrial customers in the countryside, and also want to use my old, I know! I will do the same procedure to my notebooks Windows My very best regards!

Marcos Luiz S. Filho from Brasil. Thanks so much, PalmDr! Saved everything! The site also says, "Even if you do not see these issues while using an older sync cradle, we suggest you do not use these cradles with your Treo , as the issue may appear in the future if your cradle is incompatible.

You'll need to look at the "Rev" version to check. The cradles listed below are compatible with the Treo Look on the bottom of the cradle in the "tunnel" near the cable connector. If you have Rev C , you can use this cradle with a Treo When the cradle arrived, I started to just leave my Treo cradle on my desk and give the new cradle to my husband. But I thought that I should use the new one for my Treo since the package did specifically list the Treo as one of the compatible devices.

I just had a funny feeling that with the battery being smaller in the , that I should use the new cradle. Boyhowdy, now I'm glad I did use the newer cradle. I'm pretty sure that my bad battery life woes have nothing to do with the cradle issue since I have a compatible cradle.
